Game Notes EDM vs ARI

Arizona Coyotes (Head Coach: Dave Tippett) at Edmonton Oilers (Head Coach: Todd McLellan)

NHL Game #662, Rogers Place, 2017-01-16 07:00:00PM (GMT -0700)

Oilers 3-1

Referees: Ghislain Hebert, Tom Kowal
Linesmen: Greg Devorski, Mark Wheler

Three Stars: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins; Jujhar Khaira; Jordan Eberle

  • Now THAT’S more like it. About damn time the Oilers made the Coyotes look like the sh*t team they are. Curse officially broken.
  • Total shutdown effort on defense – outstanding results from all three pairs. (Check the rink maps and the gameflows).
  • Still – solid effort from Talbot – not much he could do on that rather embarrassing defensive failure …
  • Great game from the Nuberpoo line … too bad about that damn giant snake monkey on poor Ebs’ back!
  • Jujhar lead the team in Corsis! McDavid trails the team in Corsis???
  • Check the shot distance visualization – weird how ARI has shots in close and shots far away, but basically nothing between 12 and 30 feet.
  • Amazing how the NHL’s own team never seems to break the rules, while their opponents constantly do.
