  • So I’m catching up on this game on the PVR after a spiced-rum fueled evening followed by a surprise 9am (!!!) kids soccer game.  Yes, I’m a hurting unit.
  • Briefly:
    • This  was a Cam Talbot win I’d say
    • The Oil were outplayed the majority of the game – just goes to show the importance of the special teams, doesn’t it?
    • A little disappointing that the team was (rightfully) given leeway for the brutal schedule of the last few weeks, but still had such a tough time at home after a good rest and facing a road-weary team. Especially the third.
    • Be better Oilers – you’ll need to be if you want to make the playoffs, which is a realistic possibility!
    • The McDavid line rink map probably tells you everything about why the Oilers didn’t have any EV goals.
    • Nice game for the KlefLar and Benson pairs, tough night for Seksy Russell (at least by the stats, it didn’t look so clear cut to my bleary eyes).
  • Not sure why the league’s data feed doesn’t have the officials
